Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 Tbsp Pieces Of Orris Root
1 Tbsp Anise Seed
1 Fifth Vodka
1 Cup Sugar Syrup

Work the anise seeds in a mortar for a few minutes. Add the orris and
anise seeds to the vodka. Let steep for a week, shaking occasionally.
Filter through cheesecloth and add the syrup.
