8 Oz Pitted Dates
1 Pint 90-Proof Vodka
1/2 Cup Sugar Syrup

Break up and mash the dates. Put them with the vodka in a well sealed
jar for one week, shaking occasionally. Pour off the liquid by straining
the contens of the jar through a wire strainer. Press as much liquid out
of the dates as possible; wrap the dates with a cloth and wring out any
additional liquid. Combine the liquids and sugar syrup; filter through
cheesecloth to remove remaining fruit pulp.
