1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
2/3 C. water
1/2 T. lemon juice

this into the dry ingredients just until blended. Add butter. Dip onion
rings into batter, a few at a time. Drop into 375 deg. F. oil. Fry 2
