Peanut - Butterscotch Squares

1/2 cup butter or oleo
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1 package (6 oz.) butterscotch chips
1/2 cup chunk peanut butter
2 cups Corn Flakes

Cream butter and brown sugar together. Stir in flour. Press into ungreased 9
x 13 x 2 inch pan. Bake in 350 degrees 15 minutes. Combine sugar and corn syr
up in pan. Heat to boiling. Remove from heat; add butterscotch bits and peanu
t butter. Stir until bits are melted. Stir in Corn Flakes. Spread over baked
layer. Cool and cut into squares.
