Orange Cookies

1 c Butter flavored crisco
2 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 c Milk
5 c Flour
1 ts Soda
1 ts Baking powder
1 Orange; juice and rind
Icing:
1 pk Powdered sugar; 1 pound box
1 Orange; juice and
Granted rind

Cream shortening with egg yolks and sugar; add the orange juice and
grated rind. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add egg
whites last. Let stand 1 hour. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie
sheet. Bake at 350~ for 8 minutes. Icing. Mix together sugar and juice and
grated rind of an orange until smooth.
