2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup water
1 cup Miracle Whip®
2 teaspoons vanilla
Frosting:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter

Sift or stir dry ingredients together. Mix liquids well. Add to dry ingredient
s and mix. Bake 35 minutes at 350°F.

Boil frosting ingredients together 1 minute. Stir until partly cool. Add 2 te
aspoons vanilla.

NOTES : Variations: 1. Increase soda to 2 teaspoons, omit baking powder, add
pinch salt, add 2 heaping tablespoons seedless blackberry jam. (Mrs. W. E. Am

2. Use commercial mayonnaise instead of Miracle Whip®; use 1 1/4 teaspoons
